Azeri president offers condolences over Iran building collapse

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has offered condolences over the tragic building collapse in the southern Iranian city of Abadan.

In a message to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Aliyev sympathized with those who lost loved ones in the incident as well as the people and government of Iran.

The Azeri president expressed hope that the injured will recover quickly.

Many world countries have offered condolences over the collapse of Metropol Building in Abadan that killed dozens.

Around 40 people are said to have been trapped under the rubble.
