Iran Entering New Phase in Fight against Terrorists: MP

A senior Iranian lawmaker says Tehran has entered a new phase in fight against Takfiri terrorists in the Middle East.

In an interview with Iran’s state TV, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi has said Saudi Arabia as well as other sponsors of terrorism should know that Iran “is not joking with anybody”.

Speaking after the IRGC’s missile attacks against ISIS positions in Syria, he stressed that Iran has entered a new phase in its fight against the terrorists in the region.

“[The next time] our response will be more decisive. They [the terrorists and their sponsors] cannot play with fire. They have to bear the consequences of any of their unwise moves,” he noted, referring to the recent terrorist attacks on Tehran which were avenged by the IRGC’s missile attacks on terrorists in Syria.

Stressing that the US is at the head of all the terrorist mischiefs made in the region, Boroujerdi said the recent missile operation by Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps was a message for the US.

He noted that Iran’s move was a response to the US Senate and government, which recently imposed new sanctions on Tehran, to show them that it [Iran] has managed to make all these achievements at the time of tough sanctions.
