2018 to Be Safer, More Beautiful Year for All Christians: Iran

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman says the new Christian year will hopefully be safer and more beautiful for all Christians in the world given the elimination of Wahhabi terrorists.

In a Monday message, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi congratulated Christians around the world on the advent of the Christian New Year and the birthday anniversary of Jesus Christ.

“I am very pleased to congratulate all Christians and monotheists across the world on the arrival of the Christian New Year,” he noted.

“However, my special felicitations go to the respected Iranian Christian community whose members have, by drawing on the teachings of Jesus Christ, stood by their fellow countrymen through good times and tribulations, and, as an integral part of ran’s glorious culture and civilization, have always striven to further develop and promote the country.”

“Indubitably, hope for further promulgation of Jesus Christ’s message will be a harbinger of a spiritual and progressive world. In a world where war, aggression, poverty and injustice have tightened the noose on nations more than ever before, returning to the thoughts and beliefs of Jesus Christ as a manifestation of tolerance, patience and forbearance will breathe a messianic life into the lifeless body of humanity. We hope this one will not be crucified again,” he added.

Qassemi referred to the “elimination of one of the most reactionary terrorists groups, which was regarded as one the most flagrant manifestations of Wahhabism in the contemporary era,” and said “the world next year will undoubtedly be safer and more beautiful for all Christians of the world.”

“I hope in the year ahead, we will be witnessing further cooperation and rapport on the path to boosting and deepening peace, security and tranquility, and further consolidation of friendships across the globe,” he added.
