The foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Turkey - Sergey Lavrov, Hossein Amirabdollahian and Hakan Fidan - reaffirmed their determination to continue efforts to help resolve the situation in Syria at a meeting on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session, Moscow has announced.

Participants at the 20th international meeting on Syria in the Astana format- Tehran, Moscow and Ankara- have stressed their commitment to Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They have also voiced their firm opposition to Israel’s acts of aggression and airstrikes against the Arab country.

A four-party meeting on settling relations between Ankara and Damascus (Russia, Iran, Syria and Turkey) will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers in Moscow on Monday.
