The air pollution caused by dust and particles in Iran’s western provinces, including Khuzestan, has reached “dangerous” levels.

The disruptive dust storms have pushed pollution in these border areas to alarming levels, raising health concerns.

Schools and universities have been shut down due to the alarming dust pollution.

The particles, carried by winds, can penetrate the lungs and enter the bloodstream, causing serious diseases such as lung cancer, asthma and heart problems.

La contaminación del aire causada por el polvo y material particulado en las provincias occidentales de Irán, incluyendo Juzestán, ha alcanzado niveles “alarmantes”.

Las tormentas de polvo han conducido a la contaminación atmosférica en estas zonas fronterizas a  un nivel de alto peligro, aumentando  altamente los riegos   del estado de salud de las comunidades.

Las universidades y los colegios han sido suspendidos debido a la permanente  polvareda en el aire. La polvareda provocada por el ventarrón puede dañar los pulmones e introducirse en el torrente sanguíneo, causando graves enfermedades como cáncer de pulmón, el asma y problemas cardiacos.
