Kerman’s Rayen Citadel, the world’s second adobe structure, is an important historical site in southern Iran which dates back to the Sassanid era in the pre-Islamic period. The castle is made up of different parts, including a market, houses owned by aristocrats, four storage places, a fire temple and areas which were home to common people.
